Welcome to Instructional Services. The month of February includes many important activities. Students at the elementary and middle school level will be participating in area all-county music events. This year's festivities are being held in Arlington.
The district's first band festival will be held on February 15th at 7:00 in the FDR Auditorium. This promises to be a wonderful evening of music including our youngest performers as well as our accomplished musicians from the high school.
All students will be released early on February 16th. Teachers will be spending the afternoon working with data, creating lessons aligned to the new Common Core Learning Standards, and examining student work. This collaboration time is essential as we respond to new expectations for teaching and student learning.
Schools will be closed on February 17th and 20th in recognition of President's Day.
