Home Page FDRHS ESL Program The purpose of the ESL Program is to provide English language learners with the necessary skills to be able to function well in a mainstream English classroom, as well as in the English-speaking world.  The focus is on learning strategies and improving skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing English.  Also, in accordance with the New York State CR-Part 154 Regulations, the students will be working toward meeting the ESL Standards and developing skills that will enable them to pass the English Regents exam.
