Welcome to the 7th grade!!!

Did you notice that 7^th graders are currently taking a class titled LAWS? No, it's not a pre-law class, but an acronym that stands for Life And Workforce Skills. This title replaces the two previous classes known as HACS (Home and Career Skills) and Workforce. This full year course is being taught in the 7^th grade.The focus of this class is to learn and apply skills for success in life and the workplace. Topics include career exploration, money management, making good decisions (including peer pressure and bullying), computer skills, proper nutrition, safe and healthy food preparation and entrepreneurship.

Students have the opportunity to receive 1/2 unit of high school credit upon successful completion of the Workforce requirements. The student must complete ALL of the required assignments and maintain an 80+ average, as well as exhibit a positive work ethic, including; getting along with others, making good use of time and completing assignments in a timely manner,following directions, being on time to class and being prepared for class.
